Trade notifications in Telegram

You can now get HookTrader's notifications in Telegram. Connect it once, and the HookTrader bot messages you in a chat.

What reaches you

Telegram starts with the same settings as your email.

• Trade errors and Exchange accounts are on. You hear when a trade fails, or when an exchange account needs you.
• Trade activity is off until you switch it on. Then you get a message when a trade opens, hits a target, hits its stop or trailing stop, and closes.
• Position stuck closing and Unknown position always reach you. Both mean a position on your exchange account needs you.

Set it for one account or one strategy

Each kind of notification has its own switch for email and for Telegram in Settings → Notifications.

To make one strategy or exchange account different, open its Notifications tab. A strategy's setting beats its account's. An account's setting beats Settings.

Connect Telegram

1. In Settings → Notifications, click Connect Telegram.
2. Click Open Telegram, then press Start in the bot's chat.
3. The bot replies Connected.

The link works once, for 15 minutes. If it expires, click Connect Telegram again. Disconnect stops the messages.
